Wow Two Years Already!!

I feel like I have a ticket to a front row seat as I watch and listen to the miracles God performs through the people that come into our store. And I find it very emotional to reflect on my experiences over the last couple of years and the people who have shared their courageous stories with me. The wonderful people that I can now call friends. All of the ways in which I have encountered God through the store, they’re such a blessing.

We’re so excited about the products and resources that we carry. It’s been interesting how God has shaped this store and it’s product to be exactly what he wants. There is so much out there that it’s hard to know what to carry so, our current inventory really has been shaped by our clientele. We listen to what they need and respond as best we can.

One of the things that I have been told over and over and over again is that there is a wonderful, calming about our store. And I believe it because I can feel it myself. Even when I am working early in the morning or late at night when it’s dark and everyone in the neighbourhood has gone home, it does not bother me at all. I feel very protected.

It hardly seems possible that it was almost 10 years ago when Patrick, as a newly converted Catholic, said “I think we should open a Catholic Bookstore. I believe that’s what God wants.” That’s how it all began!
